Isn't it cool when a small budget film makes it BIG! I'm hoping that happens for Blue Like Jazz this weekend.
Don Miller wrote a wonderful book ... now let's see if the "visual story" compares to the one I saw when I read it.
I can't wait to see how it does in the theater.
Life is like a Marathon...
Life is a basketball game. You cannot go through it without other people. The time gradually runs out, so take as many chances as you can and take advantage of the precious minutes. Do not rush or wish away the time. Sometimes you hit the right spot, and sometimes you don’t. Not every shot or every day is the best. A coach is someone you look up to in life.
There is always someone to guide you and teach you new things. Always try your best. Work with others and share the ball. Share your glory, share your generosity, share your wisdom, share your humor, share. But also be greedy sometimes.
Take shots; don’t constantly pass. Alone time and individuality is essential and vital. Use the losses, the air balls, the complete misses, and failures as ways to learn and be better next time. Bond. Take time to stop and simply reflect. Love, travel, laugh, study, learn, think. Compliment someone.
Wear a uniform. Literally? No. But have your own number that stands out in the crowd. Be yourself. Have your own personality and build an identity. Face it, you can’t have someone else’s title or jersey number, so cherish your own.
Grip the basketball firmly, and do the same with your life. Make sure you know what you want and how to ask for it. Jump high for the ball, jump and go over the top. Assist. Make passes, and help other people in life. Give more than you receive. Do at least one active un-bargaining service or duty each week.
If others don’t recognize your deeds or humane actions, keep doing them anyway. Continue giving without receiving. Watching others’ glory can be hard, but the best thing to do is just cheer for them. Treat them how you would want to be treated; support. As the time diminishes, kick the switch up a notch, give in the fuel, and go for your dreams and goals before you regret anything.

Are the things you're using disruptive... in a good way?
Is November just about Turkey & Gravy, Football & Beer, or hurrying to Christmas? What happened to Thanksgiving? That tiny little Holiday seems to get lost in the shuffle. How 'bout starting a New Tradition of sending out your Holiday Cards to let those in your life know you're Thankful for them? It sure beats all the complaining about "all you hafta do" in December.
And if you want a creative system for sending them out, with your own photos, in your hand-writing, with one click of your mouse, then give me a call. I can show you how you could send 'em out for FREE....and get paid showing others how to do this too.
2 Super Hero's tackle the tough issue of summer's end, with the holidays fast approaching!
Bob Newhart helps me with a $5 Therapy Session...the best deal of the day!
Most people are busy these days. Many are stressed with too much month at the end of the money. But some have found a way to get an extra pay check for things that they're already doing for FREE.
Most people do Network Marketing everyday, but they just haven't signed-up to collect their check. You might be wondering (and disagreeing) about that statement. Network Marketing is just 2 things: recommending and promoting those things you like. When you complete the company's registration form, then you get to collect a bonus check if others like it too. You're already recommending and promoting your favorite movies, sports teams, tv shows, brand of beer, etc.
If you ever buy greeting cards or gifts, OR if you know of anyone who ever buys greeting cards or gifts, then you could earn a bonus check each time, just for recommending and promoting.
Let me know...I'd love to show you how to collect 5 extra checks each month!
I just found out that some people Celebrate their birthdays by sending cards to those who have made their lives special the past year! Sending out cards to thank your friends & family for their specific influence in your life is a different way to Celebrate your Special day. Start a New Tradition...and see where it leads you this year!!
There are 2 types of people...those who Celebrate the special people in their lives and attract more, and those who wonder why nothing good ever happens to them!
